I am incredibly thankful to live in a diverse community and to be raising my son amidst people with varying backgrounds. I want that he grows up with a love and respect for all humanity. My great-grandparents immigrated into this country after being persecuted in their own land. They found some acceptance here. I am no different than anybody else from anywhere else.
