Salt River Horses
15" x 30"
Oil
The Salt River horses are unbranded, unclaimed, and free wild horses. They are believed to be descendants of Spanish horses brought to Arizona by the missionary Father Eusebio Kino in the 1600s. This painting captures them enjoying Saguaro lake, unbothered by human visitors.
