Lake Superior is the largest of the lakes and has a very recognizable triangular shape.  For most Minnesotans, like myself, this is the most familiar and we are proud to border up to the largest of the lakes. 

This series of vessels is a representation of the Great Lakes.  By using a dark blue and unmelted white glass powder on the surface, these pieces reflect both the calm depths of the lakes and the unending drama of the surface and shores, a combination that has never failed to be inspiring.  Individually they are beautiful pieces, but like the Great Lakes, they are strongest together.  Each lake, and each sculpture, has their own characteristics that make them unique from the rest.
