Lap Quilt or Table Top Patchwork Quilt by Edi Blomberg

A colorful patchwork quilt in multiple colors. Eight striped fabrics are each paired with a solid color. The stripes were cut into triangles and assembled to make diamonds. Solid triangles then make the diamonds into a larger square. A narrow sashing separates and frames the squares. The border is narrow striped diamonds on a background of solid colored triangles. The quilt is 65 inches square.  Use it as a lap quilt or table topper, or ahanging sleeve on the back can turn it into a wall hanging.

I have lived on Lopez Island for over fifty years. Although I started sewing as a child, most of my quilts have been made since I retired. It is a very satisfying craft when working with traditional designs, and becoming art when I design something myself.
