Chevron Bricks Lap Quilt by Edi Blomberg

The patchwork pattern for this quilt is in the form of a brick wall. The fabrics for many of the bricks are bold chevrons in various sizes and colors. Scattered among them are plain bricks in the same olive green as the ‘grout’. A narrow bright red binding completes the quilt. Quilting puts a chevron pattern in the plain bricks and borders the grout. The quilt is 55 ½ by 57 inches.Use it as a lap quilt or table topper or as a wall hanging, using the attached hanging sleeve. 

I have lived on Lopez Island for over fifty years. Although I started sewing as a child, most of my quilts have been made since I retired. It is a very satisfying craft when working with traditional designs, and becoming art when I design something myself.
