In the Waves of Barley

An 8 x 10 inch Photograph—Tibet, Kandze, Kham: Many Tibetans do not have a modern education nor tools to do farming. However, they have developed very efficient and knowledgeable agricultural techniques from years of survival, that depends on the harvest as their only source of income. Both the women and men share an equal part in harvest, and work as a team that comes together as a community. They have songs that they sing specifically for this season.

Don Perrault’s photographs in this auction were created while he was traveling in Nepal and Tibet between 2002-2004. His photographs are used to raise awareness for the people, culture, and landscapes in the region, and for financial support for non-profit initiatives across the globe. Don is honored to connect the people, culture, and landscapes of the Himalaya to the members of Natural Dharma Fellowship community to support Wonderwell.
