Andrew Jackson's Hermitage is the second oldest presidential home museum in the nation with more than 7,500 objects in the Jackson collection and 800,000 in the archaeological collection, most of which are related to the enslaved community at The Hermitage. More than 95% of what visitors see (furnishings, artwork, textiles, personal items, wallpaper, and much more) is original to the home and the Jackson Family. This is rare for early Presidential sites.
