Japanese Wedding Obi (kimono sash)
This is a Maru obi (丸帯, "one-piece obi") is the most formal obi. It is made from cloth about 68 cm wide and is folded around a double lining and sewn together. Their bulk and weight makes maru obi difficult to handle and nowadays they are worn mostly by geishas, maikos and brides. This obi measures and features a formal design of orange-and-gold butterflies and flowers on a black background (reverse: all black).
