2016 Sea Smoke Chardonnay

Sea Smoke’s limited-production Chardonnay is estate grown on Sea Smoke Vineyard.  Low crop yields, judicious aging in French oak and lots of loving attention result in this elegant bottle of wine.  

Sea Smoke is the Pacific Ocean Marine layer fog that covers their estate Pinot Noir and Chardonnay hillside vineyards.  This exceptional site features southern exposure, rich clay soils, low crop yields, and the cool microclimate of the Santa Ynez River canyon, producing the premium Chardonnay grapes of the Santa Rita Hills. 

The Sea Smoke winetasting notes on their 2016 Chardonnay describes this wine’s character as: An elegant Chardonnay with aromas of peonies, orange peel and slight key lime. Complemented by honeycomb and a slight nuttiness in the focused mid-palate and the refreshing cool climate acidity of our estate vineyard.

Age Restriction:  Must be 21+ years of age to bid on this item. 

Delivery Restriction:  Winner must reside within 15 miles of La Canada Flintridge or make arrangements for pick-up.
