Botanical Tour & Floral Survey (plant inventory)

Lucy will meet you at your property or location of choice for a 90 minute walking tour to discover and learn about the plants who live there.

Afterwards, she will provide a list of the species identified, along with some photos. Lucy’s area of expertise is the regionally native plants, and she’ll be delighted to offer advice on cultivating native plants and supporting pollinators and other wildlife.

Lucy Birkett is an ecology enthusiast and native plant gardener who explores how our gardens, yards, and landscapes can be enhanced to benefit birds, pollinators, and other wildlife, while providing delight to humans. She can demonstrate how easy, inexpensive, and rewarding it can be to grow native perennials, shrubs, and trees, and will recommend specific strategies, species, and resources for growing.

Lucy is active with organizations including the Wild Seed Project, Maine Audubon, Freeport Conservation Trust and the UMaine Cooperative Extension’s Master Gardener Program. She consults  in ecosystem gardening and plant surveying.

The meeting will be scheduled at a mutually agreeable time between June 15-October 15.
