Former Texas Tech President Grover E. Murray in Memoriam Bow Tie and Cufflinks

Grover E. Murray, the eighth president of Texas Tech University, presided over major expansions of the scope of the university. He also helped develop the Museum of Texas Tech University and the Ranching Heritage Center. During Murray's 10-year presidency, enrollment at the univeristy rose from 18,768 to 22,580 students. Dr. Murray's cufflinks were acquired in Stockholm, Sweden in September 1960, while he was there attending an international geological conference.
