Taylor Phillips - Bid to Play

With a six string dream on the outskirts of Sanford, NC Taylor Phillips has plowed his way to quickly become one of Nashville’s most sought after songwriters... and now one of the most anticipated new artists. With a platinum record and a Billboard and Mediabase number one song, Taylor's lyrics tell his story and he doesn’t shy away from the cold hard truth. 

Phillips embarked on his journey networking at concerts in the Carolinas as a good ole country boy who loved country music. He met independent artist Ricky Young who gave him his first gig as a merchandise manager which quickly led to the role as tour manager. Within months he made the I-40W trek to Music City, and before you could blink he was out on the road where he worked with both Craig Campbell and Kellie Pickler. Almost by accident, the songwriting door opened. But when it did, he busted through and has never looked back. Early in his songwriting career he penned the Luke Combs award-winning single “Hurricane" and has landed numerous cuts with Kane Brown, Craig Campbell, Adam Doleac, Jacob Bryant, Sam Grow and more. Phillips has co-written songs with Rhett Akins, Chris Young, Rodney Clawson, Josh Hoge, Tom Douglas, Jon Nite, Michael Heeney, Monty Criswell and many more of the most notable writers in Nashville. 

Phillips is a former firefighter, an avid hunter and fisherman and is undoubtedly country to the core. There is nothing more sacred to him than his family and his Carolina roots. If you hit play on anything Taylor Phillips has penned you can hear the Eric Church influence in the music as he's always looked up to the Chief's artistry and craft. 

Over the past several months Phillips has been in the studio recording his own music for the first time. His debut project titled “Rust In Peace” is relatable for anyone who knows the love of that first hand-me-down pickup truck and is slated to be released March 9th 2018. Given his hard work, tenacity and successful beginnings, the future couldn’t be brighter for Taylor Phillips. The sky is the limit for this country boy and if there's one thing Taylor Phillips is known for it's not being scared to chase a big dream.
