Hallgrimskirkja - Guojon Samuelsson. Reykjavik, IC

Guojon Samuelsson’s 1943 design took 41 years to build, and was completed in 1986. The expressionist design is characterized by its unique glacial/geologically inspired main tower, enhanced by a dramatic hilltop site it is visible throughout the city. This metal miniature was produced by the Small Building Collectors Society (SBCS) for one of its annual meetings and is executed with their characteristic level of precision and detail.
