Joe Ray

A note from the artist:

“Imagination. Angels. Words. Pictures. My angels dance in full color. They also read aloud in full color. Loud outside. Quiet inside. Like a library. However books are the opposite. I’ve always enjoyed reading and the places that it takes me. Libraries to me were always a bit of a paradox; you were asked to be quiet yet the words on the pages between the book covers were screaming loudly in vivid colors. Libraries appear so tan and serene on the outside, yet what they hold within is what made my imagination reel. Yes, I was grateful for the quiet that allowed the escape while in a library, yet somehow I always felt that it needed to be loud. My angels dance in full color. They also read aloud in full color.”
