"I saw this lone duck on a swamp by the Garden City Community Park while doing my stroll walk. I took a picture of it because it will be gone in a split seconds. The surrounding area was also colourful with forms and shapes; plants, water and the duck. I tried to captured the beauty of the scene with bold brushstroke combining with wet and dry brush technique and colours." - Joselito M.

Joselito Macapagal completed his Bachelor of Fine Arts in 1978 in Manila, Philippines. Since 1990, he has resided in Richmond, British Columbia, with his family and has actively contributed to the local arts community. He is a member of both the Community Arts Council of Richmond and the Richmond Arts Coalition. His recent exhibitions include Joy of Seeing at The Annex Gallery in Richmond (2024), Faces of Richmond at the Minoru Centre for Active Living in Richmond (2023), and Midsummer Art’s Dream at Lansdowne Mall in Richmond (2022).
