Ales Pancner - Andromeda

Andromeda is the beautiful daughter of Queen Cassiopeia. She was rescued by the Greek hero Perseus, who saved her from being sacrificed to a sea monster. Andromeda herself represents innocence and beautiful female form.

Bio: Ales Pancner, a European-born artist, studied at LSU under Professor Kubiček and Pavel Vaurys, winner of the UNESCO Art Competition in Paris in 1989 and the Pinacoteca de Estado in São Paulo, Brazil.

Artist Statement: "I am a painter and sculptor. I love pigment, stone, wood, bronze, and anything else I can create with. To me, it’s a celebration of life itself—I could not live without it."
