Bio: Robin Hawkins is a northeast Indiana acrylic and mixed media painter. She enjoys finding the perfect medium to create the texture and interest in her work.

Robin took art and business classes at the University of Saint Francis and a 2-D class helped her discover the fun of mixed media. She has a website (heresmyhart.com) along with Facebook and Instagram social media sites.

Robin gives occasional workshops and is a member of the Fort Wayne Artists Guild. Her art can be purchased through her online shop and at juried art fairs.

Artist Statement:  "Experience, viewing the world, nature and animals are the inspiration that helps me create my colorful art. I use acrylic paint first and often add various mediums like wallpaper, ink, textured paste, and papers that I have designed for the backgrounds. I add marks with paintbrushes or forks, skewers, stencils, or stamps. My paintings are fun with clean lines, and the viewer can relate to the subject matter. I enjoy adding words and quotes that tell the story and are uplifting."
