Mariah Wearing a One of a Kind Art Enameled Pendant

Medium:  Photo printed on Epson Paper, acrylic medium and paint, copper enameled pendant

I’m a jewelry artist; I’ve loved felines my whole life. I decided to see how my pet cats would look wearing my art pendants. I manipulated photos of Red and Mariah to create a portrait size that would be balanced with my pendants. Photos were printed on Epson paper, laminated to the 6” x 6” canvas and then sealed with matt medium. Holes in the canvas allow the necklace to be threaded through and fastened in the back. 
The necklace can be removed for human wearing and replaced on the canvas as desired. Mariah was adopted from a vet clinic in Woodstock in 2003. I had recently moved back to the area & needed to board Red so was checking out boarding facilities when a tiny black paw reached out. I love black cats & fell in love with Mariah on the spot.
She’s elegant, loving & a serious adventurer when we stay on the farm in Summer.
