Quiet Country

Medium: Acrylics

I enjoy painting. I am also fascinated with buildings in the country. Some are often falling apart, and hold secrets of their own. I am confident that they were very useful at some point in time. I also am fascinated with how rocks were used for foundations, walls, and walkways. One summer while visiting Harbor Springs, MI, I decided to paint rocks. The waves in Lake Michigan tumble them as they are brought into shore. This makes them flat and easy to paint on. Acrylic paint is an amazing medium to use on so many surfaces. The snowfall is always so quiet and peaceful. It adds so much more to a quiet country scene.
