Isokon Champagne Tour for Two in Hampstead, London

A uniquely British experience! A visit to the Isokon Flats in London, Britain’s first modernist apartment block. The 1934 building designed by Canadian architect Wells Coates was home to Agatha Christie and three Bauhaus masters — Walter Gropius, Marcel Breuer and Laszlo Moholy-Nagy.

You will be collected from the Hampstead underground station (a 20-minute Tube ride from Central London on the Northern line) in a vintage 1934 Bentley from Timetravels.Life and given a chauffeured tour of the modernist highlights of Hampstead, an affluent residential community long favored by academics and artists.

Arriving at the Isokon Flats, authors Leyla Daybelge and Magnus Englund, both Isokon Trustees, will take you on a private tour of the Isokon Gallery and Penthouse, followed by champagne and an English cream tea.

Included, to be shipped separately after auction concludes, will be one copy of each book noted below.
Daybelge and Englund are the co-authors of Isokon and the Bauhaus in Britain ($35, Batsford Press, 2019) and the stunning visual biography Walter Gropius: An Illustrated Biography ($150, Phaidon Press 2019).  Both are self-confessed Bauhaus obsessives, so for that special person, or for yourself, who might also have a bit of Bauhaus obsessiveness, this will be an experience never to be forgotten — be the highest bidder and don’t chance anyone else taking this chance away from you!
