Horse Hair Raku Vase - Former City Commissioner Debbie Lightsey used the ancient Chinese firing technique called Raku to create this horse hair vase. Horse hair is applied to burnished raw clay straight from the kiln, which burns the carbon image into the body of the pot.  She used hair from the mane and tail of her beloved Arabian gelding, Sevilla Bur Bask, who has passed, but lives on in these creations. 
Note: (Raku pots are unglazed and will not hold water)
