The Heron - Wooden Sculpture

Heron sightings are said to symbolize stillness, abundance, opportunity, and harmony. Artist Don Webster captures the beauty of the Heron in this lovely cedar wood piece. The sculpture is from the home of Dean and Elsie Freudenberger and sits 21” tall and rests on a 15X15 base. It originates from Taos New Mexico and is in excellent condition.

The artist:
Don Webster was a native Oklahoman whose interest in wildlife was a great influence on his work. Although most of his career was in the field of music, he felt a relationship between music and sculpture.
In his sculpture career, Don was a guest artist in the National Academy of Western Art exhibition at the Cowboy Hall of Fame in Oklahoma City. He had several commissions, including an outdoor piece, "Freedom", at Ghost Ranch in Abiquiu, New Mexico. He was a member of the Society of Animal Artists and the Oklahoma Sculpture Society.
Don Webster passed away on April 20, 2017. His pieces are in public and private collections in the United States, Canada, and Europe. Visit https://webstersculpture.com/ to see more work from this artist.
