Emily LoPresto Studio: Hand-Crafted Bowls

These beautiful bowls were made by Slip casting, which is a process for creating ceramic work involving plaster molds and liquid clay.  Emily uses this method because it fits her forms and aesthetic best and she enjoys the processe. Slip Casting has many steps and each piece is unique.  The process has become part of Emily’s creative drive and she wouldn't make work any other way.
