Douglas Thonen, Artist, has donated a 18" x 24" framed Oil on Canvas painting "Sunflowers in a Violet Vase".

"My name is Douglas Thonen. I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Art from the University of South Florida. I've earned a certification as an Educator of Students with Special needs. I currently am the Art Teacher at Nina Harris Exceptional Student Education(ESE) Center. More importantly I am the father of 2 beautiful daughters, Lucille (7), and Marilyn (4), and I am married to my beautiful wife, Jessica Thonen. I have painted multiple murals throughout the years including 6 at Nina Harris ESE Center along with multiple residential murals. I have been fortunate enough to have received a wide variety of portrait commissions. I enjoy experimenting with my art making process and working outside my comfort zone."
