Fala Baxter

We're starting a new tradition at Wilderstein. We asked local artists to paint cast iron Fala Scottie Dog statues specifically for our silent auction.

Daniel Baxter is an award-winning illustrator residing in Red Hook, NY. His goal is to create clever and witty solutions for each project he works on. He provides creative content for magazines, newspapers, children's books, websites etc.

"I'm attracted to illustration because it's about problem solving. I love putting ideas down on paper-exploring an assignments possibilities. I never know where the process will take me, but it always leads to a variety of unique solutions. So, whether you have a seemingly challenging project, or a deceptively simple one, I have a great idea, many great ideas in fact. I'd be happy to discuss any assignment with you."

Clients include: American Airlines, Forbes, Harvard Business Review, IBM, New York Magazine, The New York Times, Southwest Airlines, Time Magazine, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post and more.  Education: BFA, Parsons School of Design.

The Fala statue can be used as a door stop or decorative accent and measures 9" w x 7.5" h.
