Are you ready for the ultimate WBGO adventure? Share your playlist globally & savor a day at the WBGO Studios at 54 Wayne Shorter Way in Newark, NJ.
Step into the limelight and be a WBGO Host for one (1) hour alongside your favorite WBGO Announcer*.
You’ll get to share your curated musical selections with fellow listeners worldwide and experience the magic of connecting with WBGO like never before. After pre-recording your thrilling Host an Hour, you’ll receive an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of WBGO’s iconic studios by your Announcer of choice, followed by a reception in the WBGO Performance Studio with said Announcer and key members of the staff.
There will also be photos taken before, during and after your taping to commemorate your unique experience. Your Hour will be scheduled to air during a special program block on a Saturday morning from 8 to 10 AM.
After post-production, you will be supplied with a copy of your hour on a CD and/or digitally, and after its’ initial airing, it will be available on the WBGO Archive for 2 weeks so you can share it with any friends & family who may not have the chance to hear it “live” on the air.
Special Note:
Host an Hour tapings are available with all WBGO Announcers (except Felix Hernandez). A virtual taping can also be arranged with Pat Prescott, who does not live in the area. If for any reason you simply cannot come to the WBGO Studios in Newark, a remote pre-record can be arranged.
