Everything onboard the Iconic William Shakespeare suffuses style. The four-deck design helps to enhance the ship’s spaciousness and is typified by the delightful lobby on the Hamlet (upper) deck. Moving towards the front of the ship you will find the classically appointed Globe lounge and bar, with a wide selection of comfortable and elegant seating. Stairs and a lift lead down to the Othello (middle) deck, where the culinary delights of a superbly elegant restaurant are enhanced by sparkling crystal and crisp, high-quality table linen. Here the ship’s outstanding chefs will amaze you with superb fine dining of the highest order, using freshly prepared seasonal produce to create very best of European cuisine.

Dining on the William Shakespeare is a true pleasure. The sumptuous breakfast buffet, with omelets and fresh eggs prepared to order, ensures a great start to the day and a lunchtime buffet ensures you can eat a full meal or something as simple as a fresh crunchy salad – just as you desire. The evening dinner features excellently executed dishes with silver service, plus a relaxed atmosphere and our ‘open seating’ policy that ensures your dining experience is one you will always look forward to. YOUR CABIN
The cabins are tastefully appointed, featuring a wealth of mahogany, leather, marble and Italian soft furnishings, which blend together to create an ambience of quality and elegance. In keeping with this theme, spacious marble bathrooms have a washbasin with plenty of space for cosmetics, a WC and a glazed shower with fittings by ‘Grohe’. At 15 square meters (161 square feet) cabins are spacious (amongst the largest on European rivers) and well appointed with luxurious beds, safe, telephone, hair dryer, tea and coffee making facilities plus individually controlled air-conditioning. They have flat screen TV with satellite channels and also receive images from a bow-mounted camera, so you can see exactly where you are cruising from the comfort of your own bed! Two chairs and a small table are provided for your convenience plus an umbrella for those hopefully rare, showery days. Tasteful lighting, subtly changing in harmony with the time of day is again a unique feature, whilst high quality bathrobes and slippers add the final elegant touch.

Books4Kids Jamaica is conducting its 5th annual fundraiser auction online. We welcome bids and donations towards the Books4Kids Jamaica book distribution in September 2016. Every physical item in the auction that can be shipped may incur a shipping cost, which is the responsibility of the bidder. If you are the successful bidder of an item that needs to be shipped, we will contact you to make arrangements for shipment.

 Auction Terms and Conditions

-      All bidders must be 18 years of age or above.

-      A bid is construed as a legal agreement to purchase the listed item(s) at the amount indicated.

-      Details, validity and restrictions have been indicated in the descriptions of each item.

-      Gift certificates and vouchers are not displayed, but will be provided at the time of payment.

-      Reservations for trips, stays in hotels, use of facilities, ticket redemption or other such items must be mutually arranged by the winning bidder and the donor. Blackout periods, expiration dates and restrictions may apply to hotel stays, cruises and flights. Please note that each of the items up for auction is subject to certain terms and conditions, including availability, black-out dates and other restrictions. 

-      Restrictions and expiration dates may apply on several auction items. To allow participation from Europe, bidding on items marked “European Time Zone Finish” will finish at 5:00 PM Jamaican Time (CDT), which is 10:00 PM GMT. The bidding on all other items finishes at 11:00 PM Jamaican Time (CDT).

Popcorn bidding
To give all bidders an equal chance of winning an auction item and discourage sniping (placing a bid right as the auction closes), we have implemented the “Popcorn Bidding” function.

If any bid is placed on an item within 10 minutes of the close of the auction, the bid close time on that particular auction item will be extended for 10 minutes. This gives all interested bidders an equal chance to win.

Successful bids
If you are the successful bidder on an item you will receive an email or text indicating that you were the successful bidder. An invoice will be sent to you within 1 hour of the close of the auction. If you receive an ITEM WON NOTIFICATION you will be sent an invoice. 

Invoice
A link will be included in the email notification that you receive.  You can also see the invoice by logging in to your account and clicking on Members Home and then on the Messages icon. If we do not receive payment or you do not contact us to arrange payment within 48 hours, your items we will go to the next bidder.

Payment
Payment MUST BE MADE WITHIN FOURTY-EIGHT (48) HOURS of your receiving an invoice. If you DO NOT PAY WITHIN FOURTY EIGHT HOURS, the auction items you had the winning bids on will be offered to the bidder with the next winning bid.

If you are attending the Saturday May 10 auction party in Kingston, Jamaica, you may come to the Books4Kids Jamaica representative and make payment via Credit Card or cash.

PayPal
If you have a PayPal account, you can pay for your item(s) via PayPal.

You can use your Credit Card to pay via Stripe on the auction website.

Picking up your Items
If you live in Montego Bay, Jamaica, please pick up your item from our office at Half Moon Shops 15 as quickly as possible. 

If you are staying at a local hotel, we will be happy to bring the items to you. If you live abroad, gift vouchers for hotel stays, cruises will be sent to you by email and post. Once payment has been made, Gift Certificates will be sent to you in a prompt fashion by Books4Kids Jamaica’s representatives. Books4Kids Jamaica will aim to send out all Gift Certificates within two weeks of the completion of the auction on May 10th, 2016.

Certain items (cruises) requires Books4Kids Jamaica to notify the relevant company of the winner’s name prior to the release of the final certificate. This will be done in a prompt fashion by Books4Kids Jamaica’s representatives, and the Gift Certificate will be provided thereafter.
