Under the Starry Sky - Hueiyao Hsuan

This punch needle embroidery piece pays homage to Vincent van Gogh's "Starry Night," a painting that has always mesmerized me with its dreamy and swirling colors. Using repetitive stitches, the blues, off-whites, and yellows of the night sky color palette are woven into the piece to create a textured and dimensional effect.

The blue and white light tower, inspired by the signature building of Westside Montessori School, adds a distinctive element to the work.Through this meditative process of punch needle embroidery, I aimed to offer a fresh perspective on the iconic masterpiece.
