Day at Bill's Pond
What Bill has to say...
"I will say that the fishing has been very, very, very strong these last two or three years. The best time in my opinion is to stop at Subway on the way to the pond for a sandwich and Goodrich ice cream cone, eat the cone on the way to the pond. Fish. Then eat the sandwich on the way home. I often go down 5-6 oclock to fish the magic hour from 7-9 pm. I have a small grill down there, really need to bring four concrete blocks to make it a bit easier, and toast your burgers, brats, s’mores’ and fish until dark. Bring a flashlight or head lamp if you want. What I’m saying is that I’d raise the price on the auction because we’ve stocked it and managed it to make it a really good fishery. I lost a huge bass on 17 lb test last week. My fishing companion had one break his rod in half and make off with the top 2/3 of his rod and lure. One of my other friends had a bass break off 65 lb test superbraid on a frog! So, it is worth the trouble. I tried to manage six kids last week one evening and we went thru four complete packages of hooks and lures! Good fishing. It’s worth more."
