Taste of the Gunflint Trail Treats

There are some wonderful bakers on the Gunflint Trail if you have not had a chance to read "A Taste of Life on the Gunflint Trail: Stories, History & Recipes from the Lodges & Restaurants, as told by the Women of the Trail" I suggest you get a copy and read through it. It is not just history of the resorts along the Gunflint Trail but some wonderful recipes the women contributed.

Here you will be bidding on one tasty goodie every week for a month (limit to four weeks) that will be made by some of the famous women in this book. Do you like homemade blueberry pie or scones; cranberry cake with a butter cream sauce or how about homemade tomato soup, pickled treats. All of these and others will be part of this package.

You choose the month June, July, or August. The winning bidder will be contacted to set up a date and time that will work best.

Dacia and I enjoyed the baked treats and goodies that we received from the Gunflint Trail Historical Society Auction in 2022. The baked goods and treats were a true reflection of the Northwoods. A big thank you to Bill and Bruce for the deliveries to the dock as well. I would encourage all to participate in future fund raising events……I sure will. Ty and Dacia Bestor
