History Tour Saganaga Lake for two people

Enjoy a historic boat tour of spectacular Saganaga Lake with your hosts Sue and Bill Douglas.
 
Sue and Bill have owned property on Sag for nearly 50 years.  They operated a canoe outfitting business in the '70s and '80s. Saganaga is one of the most beautiful wilderness lakes in the BWCAW. It was once called "The perfect wilderness lake" by Sigurd Olsen.
 
Saganaga is the deepest inland lake in Minnesota, has over 280 islands, and is steeped in history and beauty. 
 
You will experience an outing on a beautiful wilderness lake and leave with a sense of history and gain an appreciation for what lies at the end of the famous and scenic Gunflint Trail. 
 
You will learn how to pronounce Saganaga, its meaning, and other local folklore. You will sit over the exact spot where the State record Walleye was caught in 1979.
 
The tour is limited to two people for a 4 - 6 hour boat tour.
 
Items to bring along for your tour
â—‹ Rain gear and appropriate clothing for the time of year you visit.
â—‹ A good wool hat, gloves, and or a hat to shade you from the sun. 
â—‹ Camera
â—‹ If you have your own life preserver, bring it along, otherwise, one will be provided for you.
 
The winning bidder will be contacted to set up a date and time that will work best for both parties, July or August is recommended.
