Reebok x Eames Club C 85: Dot and Composition Vintage Textile Inspired Tennis Shoes

These heritage court-inspired shoes represent the first, landmark collaboration between the Eames Office and Reebok.  The soft jacquard upper features a dot pattern Originally created in 1947 by Ray Eames and still appears on many Eames products even now, such as throw blankets or couch pillows.  Therefore, it's only fitting that this dot-patterned Club C features a modern beige textile upper that's covered from heel to toe in black dotted patterns. Apart from this design geek-style embellishment, the Eames x Reebok Club C 85 swaps out its standard midfoot for a white-and-black text logo, and tongue features a large co-branded badge.  Two sets of Eames laces, one beige and one black, to switch up the look!

The shoebox is modeled after the Eames House— Case Study House No. 8—in the Pacific Palisades neighbourhood of Los Angeles. An example of egalitarian post war suburban architecture, the house embraces industrial innovation while retaining the warmth and human scale of a loving family home. Charles and Ray lived together in the Eames House until their passing. It’s a tribute to the couple’s design ethos and an exemplar of sustainable building.
