Carved Loon Sculpture

This carving of a loon was made in the vicinity of the Adirondack town of Old Forge, NY. The artist is unknown. It is beautifully and faithfully painted to show the characteristics of this bird. Loons are commonly found on many lakes in the Adirondack. Their mournful wail, usually at dusk, distinguishes them and will stick with you the rest of your life.

Measures  18” long X 7 “ wide X 8 ‘ high.  It would make a statement in most rooms.
