Sallie has been painting since 1992. Watercolor is her chosen medium. She says "If I can make people see the excitement of everyday things that are right in front of them I have succeed." Sallie teaches and lives in Galveston, Texas.
Sallie loves to paint flowers and still life. She also enjoys painting commission houses from Victorian to beach homes. She like to put in special touches like owners pets. Landscape, seascape , fishes and people are all subjects for her art. She enjoys the challenge of paint large pictures (4"x6") as well a small demos for her students. She is an award winning painter. Her work has been shown in gallery in Houston, TX, Seattle, WA and Tokyo, Japan as well as her home town, Galveston, TX.
She has been teaching out of her studio/gallery since 1993. Some of her students have been with her all those years. She is always interest in learning new techniques and passing them on to her students. Her first trip with students was in 2007.They have gone with her to Ireland, Italy and France to paint in journals. She has published her journals. They are sold on Amazon. Sallie shows her art at Sunflower Bakery and the Gift Shop in the Byron Museum as well at her Studio.
