Private Tour for Four Adults of Bayou Bend Collection and Gardens, Museum of Fine Arts, Houston

A PERSONAL TOUR OF BAYOU BEND FOR FOUR GUESTS

Bayou Bend was the two-story home of philanthropist Ima Hogg.  It is now part of the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston and contains the most extensive collection of American art, furniture and material culture west of the Mississippi River.  Displayed in the former home of Houston civic leader and philantropist Ima Hogg (1882-1975) the collection is one of the finest showcases of American furnishings, silver, ceramics, and paintings in the world.  Rooms are arranged in period settings.  The fourteen-acre beautifully landscaped grounds are situated on Buffalo Bayou and can be entered off of Wescott Street and Memorial Drive, just east of Memorial Park.  6003 Memorial Dr. Houston, TX 77007

This is an approximately one hour tour; 2023 date and time of tour will be determined by the participants in conjunction with the touring docent, Tom Wilson, and availability at Bayou Bend.  Available times are usually at noon on Tuesday, Wednesdays or Thursdays.   Guests must be a minimum of ten year of age.
