When you want to venture outside the resort, the capital town of Kralendijk, with its excellent restaurants and funky shops, is only a five-minute walk away. Armed with carrots and apples, you can also try visiting the nearby donkey sanctuary. Or rent a car and go for a day excursion around the island with a stop at the Bonaire Nature Preserve. Bonaire has some of the best shore diving in the Caribbean, and you can take advantage of unlimited shore diving at Divi Flamingo (included in package). The resort also has an on-site dive shop and dive boats available, should you decide to venture further out into the seas around Bonaire (additional charge).
