Cultured Freshwater Pearl, Jadeite, & Gold Necklace

This stunning necklace is made of six strands of cultured Chinese freshwater pearls and gold beads.  The necklace measures 32 inches in length, not including the clasp.  The well-matched pearls average 7.90x4.80mm, have an overall white body color, display fairly consistent orient and very good luster.  Strung without knots, the pearls and accented by a random pattern of 72 yellow gold polished hollow beads which measure 2.8mm in diameter.  The yellow gold concealed box style clasp features a hand carved lavender jadeite stone with simple gourd and vine motif.  The double-sided jadeite measures approximately 41.5x20mm, tapering to 15.9mm, and exhibits a medium light, slightly motley lavender color with good polish, and a small carved opening at the top.  The clasp, stamped 14K on the tongue, was custom-made for the jade.
