Charcoal Horse by George Rigby

This beautiful painting of a horse in charcoal is by George Rigby. It is unframed 36x30".

George Rigby has just turned 23 and never studied in art school. Instead, his enthusiasm and understanding of art came principally through his mother, Annabel Playfair, an experienced artist in her own right, based in the Cotswolds, but also through his love of music which evokes a visual palette for his art.

Growing up surrounded by equestrian culture, George is often using the movement and individual character of horses to capture their emotions in his art. In fact, George's work is largely based on the hybrid concept.

Alongside his art, George is currently in his final year studying music composition at the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama and is constantly exploring effective ways to combine his music and art together.

His final year project combines a story ‘board’ of life-sized paintings of horses with a matching music composition.  Watch this space!

In his music, George works with established industry names such as EMI Production Music and 411 Music Group to create bespoke compositions to order. Recording in state-of-the-art facilities, like Abbey Road Studios, George's work is produced efficiently through a meticulous and collaborative process.

George recently worked with John Ekstrand and Sony Studios on the latest Marvel film.

George is a rising star in both the world of art and music!

The charcoal can be picked up either in the Cotswolds, Surrey or in London but cannot be delivered by post owing to the fragile nature of charcoal drawings. To be arranged with George.

Kindly donated by George Rigby.
