As a non-Indigenous newcomer to Canada, she is acting on the responsibility and obligation to learn how to practice and advance Reconciliation. Maya holds a Masters in International Law from the University of Edinburgh Law School focusing on human rights and climate change, and proudly serves on the Board of Directors for the Calgary chapter of Connecting Environmental Professionals. With over a decade of experience in risk management, sustainability, and internal audit across private and public sectors, Maya tackles the issues that matter today and what will challenge us in the future - from Indigenous inclusion in ESG and energy transition to purpose and impact.
