Build Hope Not Walls is a project that speaks to our times, and aims to have a positive, tangible effect on the communities that need it most. As an artist, it is extremely difficult to create visual work that leads to direct action, and this project's goal is exactly that. This is direct action I want to be a part of. Communities hoping for a better future needn't be cut down, we must not succumb to an environment of manufactured fear. We can band together and better the lives of others, and through this we better our own lives as well. If we allow ourselves to be divided, hope will dwindle. I love this project because it encourages hope, it does not accept division.
