Build Hope, Not Walls  speaks to my heart. I am one of many American artists who are upset, deeply saddened, angry and in complete opposition of the backwards thinking racists, sexists, criminals including Trump now embedded in our government. The amount of hate crimes have gone way up since election day. The blaming of all our troubles on immigrants is not only wrong but craftily employed as a diffusion tactic used to hide that the Trump Regime of treasonous thugs are undermining democracy on all levels. Immigrants are his Fall Guy.

In all this targeted daily dust storm chaos being churned out from the White House, immigrant families are being torn apart, rounded up, being held at awful detention centers and deported. His supporters in favor of the wall over acceptance and compassion is a moral crisis that has blood stained echos in Nazi germany.

We can and will do better when people with integrity, courage, humanity and respect for people of different cultures continue banding together to build a better, welcoming and inclusive country. The symbolic gesture of a wall of hope rather than hate and division built by artists is very appealing to me. What an amazing way to bring community together, shine some much needed light through the darkness of our times and to donate to a very worthy cause.
