I wanted to participate in the Build Hope Not Walls project because as the daughter of immigrants and mother of mixed race children I believe the future of this country is in inclusivity, tolerance and compassion. As an artist I feel that now more than ever, we must use our voices collectively to speak out against the hatred, egotism, and self interest that is rampant in our culture. Being a part of this project is a small but significant way for me to contribute and resist.
