In light of recent political events in the U.S., I have been trying to channel my artistic energies (and anger) into positive messages of hope. Without love, we cannot expect change and acceptance. My image features the fissures in the idea that we should place barriers between us. Holes in the wall become the only way to make us whole. Light creeps through and frees our souls. Birds fly above, through and beyond all the nonsense of politics. Art has no barriers nor borders and broadens our idea of what is possible. The great print works of the past 300 years have easily outlived and transcended whoever happened to be king, dictator, or president.
