Robert Webster's artwork is Inspired by the world-renowned collection of modernist architecture in Palm Springs. Webster began creating simple mat board maquettes of the classic houses there. Five basic rooflines - flat, shed, butterfly, folded plate, and A-frame - are typical. Using a stylus, Webster creases the mat board mimicking the typical stone, brickwork, and concrete block finishes, which add subtle detail and realism to the pieces.
