Spring Migration Birding Trip by Boat  in West Galveston Bay with Dean Silvers for 4 Adults

Dean Silva, long time member of Galveston’s birding and fishing community, is offering a spring bay birding trip for Four. The Ginny, is  a 21’5’ a Mako Center Console Boat with “V” hull to reduce spray and mitigate choppy conditions . Trip will begin at his home in Jamaica Beach eastward to the North and South Deer Islands, including a cruise by the Pelican rookery, Offatts Bayou, the Texas City Dike area, and return via the Intracoastal Waterway from the Deer Islands west to Green’s Cut and then back to my home in Jamaica Beach. We will be looking for shore birds, gulls, loons, Frigate Birds, waterfowl, grebes, and other migratory birds. The trip will be scheduled in April, early enough to potentially encounter over wintering birds and migrants arriving from the tropics. The trip will be scheduled as mutually agreed, based on weather and availability of desirable birds. Bottled water and soft drinks will be provided.
