In 2018, my husband & I had the opportunity to tour Myanmar. One of the stops en route to Inle Lake was Pindaya. We visited a family-run workshop where they made local style umbrellas & Shan-paper (created from the fiber of the mulberry tree). After seeing all the work that went into making this beautiful paper, I decided to purchase a large sheet. I had no idea what I was going to do with it, but I knew I just had to have it…..& so it sat in my studio closet until this past month…..its purpose found!
