Seventh & Eighth Grade: Handmade, Queen size Quilt.
Our artistic seventh and eighth grade students have worked together to create an amazing quilt. The queen size quilt features squares by the 7th and 8th grade students. The blue and white fabric was from a cyanotyping art/science project we did, and the white squares were a new sheet that students colored on; either with permanent marker and rubbing alcohol to produce a tie-dye effect, or with fabric marker. It's sewn to a new (washed) powder blue Queen-size sheet. Each square was washed individually in soap and water before they were ironed and sewn together. The quilt should either be soaked in saltwater before washing or washed individually.
