Flowers Floating - Sarah Curley - Framed Original Mixed Media painting measures 24" x 18"
This image focuses on water, the essence of life in the desert, through the use of the color blue, and the botanical garden shape of flowers floating in the water. Starting with a process used by botanists in the 1800s (cyanotype), I have placed chemicals on silk, folded the silk to create flowers, then created a fine art print on rice paper to which I have added colored pencil to enhance my final, unique image of flowers in the desert.
