Jane Turner was a retired engineer who helped oversee the interior remodeling of the historic Bruhl-O’Connor house into the first permanent home for the Rockport Art Association.  An avid birder and painter, she also completed a master’s degree in botany.  She taught classes at the Estelle Stair Gallery and established the Kirkpatrick-Stair Scholarship Fund that helped more than 70 local students pursue their education.
