Anne Belov Original Felted Mommee Mei and Baby Biscuit Pandas
This lovely mommy-baby bear combo is needle felted by Anne Belov, known to most of you from her Panda Chronicles, and made of Whidbey Island wool from Whidbey Island sheep. Unique and small enough to carry with you in a pocket as emotional support pandas during Covid - lovingly dubbed "Mommee Mei and Baby Biscuit". Made with a soft, squishy core, so if you are having an unpleasant meeting at work, you can reach in your pocket and give him a little squeeze! The large panda is about 3” tall, baby panda is a little over an inch.
About the Artist
After receiving a BFA from The Philadelphia College of Art, Anne Belov moved west and, since she didn’t learn everything the first time, went to art school again, receiving an MFA in painting from the University of Washington. A militant realist painter, she refuses to believe all the rumors that painting is dead. She now makes her home on Whidbey Island. There are, to her knowledge, no pandas in her backyard. Her main regret in life is that there is no MacArthur Foundation Grant awarded in the field of panda satire.
